Reflection: 6 months into this "NEW" Journey

It has been a crazy journey since about a year ago we decided to CHANGE EVERYTHING....move to Colorado, get new jobs, kids to new schools, etc.

I'm mostly happy about the courage we took in making a life we want, and not just going through the motions of a life that was pre-determined...or a life that was just what was expected by our families and society.  We are still basically living a suburban lifestyle, but in a much more beautiful setting and without some of the stress of "keeping up with the Jones'" b/c we hardly know any of the Jones'!   HA!

However, I do miss my family and friends back South.  I miss having a group of people that I could call upon at anytime to go have lunch or dinner.

I'm a little nervous about Chris finding a job that makes him truly happy and fulfilled.

I'm a little upset that Quinn seems out of sorts and hasn't really found a good group of friends yet.  We did FINALLY find a great Girl Scout troop and that is helping TREMENDOUSLY!

There is never going to be a perfect life, but the more active we are at seeking happiness, then overall, I think I will be more pleased and satisfied that we are TRYING and making an effort to be happy, rather than waiting on some wonderful thing to happen in our old world and ways.

Next up on the change scene will be to start living a more healthy lifestyle -- more exercise and better food.
