30 Articles of Human Rights

Again, I am feeling DUMB & DUMBER...i didn't even know about this and it was adopted TWENTY (20) years before I was born!!!  Was I totally asleep during high school and college!?!?!

"The 30 articles that collectively make up the international definition of human rights were adopted by the United Nations in 1948.  The Universal Declaration of Human Rights represents the first global expression of rights to which all of humanity is entitled. new discovery for me: Edmund Burke

The older I get, the dumber I feel.  Why didn't I pay more attention in high school and college when i had some really intelligent and caring teachers who were there to guide me!?!?  

Because now I have TOO MANY things I want to learn and have a terribly short attention span (and not much time b/c there are so many other things to be done -- cleaning house, playing w kids, raising $$ for people with disABILITIES, exercising, etc).  

Today's entry into "The Sheila Feeling Dumb and Dumber Chronicles" is that I discovered Edmund Burke....an Irish political theorist and writer and philosopher from the mid 1700s.  Really like some random quotes from him and now I want to learn more about him.  Of course, my severe curiousity and jumping around on the Internet ADD and needing to be "productive" will probably keep me from doing any in-depth study about this gentleman, but I will now park some links here so that when I decide to take the time, i know where to return...
