Kindness is UNFORTUNATELY Difficult to Teach

rant warning

Don't mean to sound so "DOOMSDAY", but i really don't think there's much hope for universal peace if we (collectively as human beings) cannot figure out the simplest way to peace is to be kind to one another.

We all know how SHITTY high school can be for many kids going through puberty and dealing with all the crazy hormones and extra responsibility of growing up and thinking about their future.

SOOOO...

WHY can't someone "crack the code" on helping kids communicate better with one another and their parents and just simply be KIND to one another?!?!?

Why aren't we smart enough to figure it all out!?!?  Anti-bullying programs seem to be more present than when I was a kid, but I wonder what progress we have made as humans when we continue to have MEAN ASSHOLES in the world!??!

It just makes me sad and frustrated that people have had something terrible happen in their lives and nobody cared enough to help them heal via LITERALLY A WIDE VARIETY WAYS of healing....whether it be

  • counseling or
  • learning coping strategies to look toward the future positives their life may bring or
  • simply by having faith in God or the universe or whatever spiritual path they see to peace

When some of these "damaged" people can't (or WON'T) find peace, their "answer" is to just inflict pain on others to bring them down to their level....and it creates a vicious, negative spiral down down down to terrible place...

It's terribly sad that some adults never learn how to be kind or know how to find a positive peaceful path.  This results in these people never knowing how to teach their kids how to be kind who perpetuate this sad negativity...

...so i feel like we are doomed...b/c it doesn't seem like there are enough positive shining lights out there to alleviate the darkness...

WHY CAN'T WE BE BETTER at BEING KIND?
